Frequently Asked Questions

An official document issued by a government, showing your photo, your name and your date of birth. We check it once, when you pick up your badge, against the name and date of birth from your registration. The date of birth is also how we confirm the 18+ rule.

These work:

• Passport
• National ID card (Personalausweis, or the equivalent from your country)
• Residence permit (Aufenthaltstitel)

These don't:

• Driver's licenses
• Photos, scans or copies of a document, including ones stored in a phone wallet app
• Expired documents
• Student, library, company or club cards

If the name on your ID has changed since you registered, email our registration team before the convention so we can update your data.

If your registration is still unpaid, email our registration team and we'll cancel it.

We can't cancel a paid registration, but we can transfer it. Find someone to take your ticket, make sure they have a Furvester account, then both of you email our registration team to start the transfer.

Only on site. If you register at the convention itself, you can pay in cash at the registration desk. Registrations booked in advance are paid through the website, by card or bank transfer.

Full registrations and day tickets follow the same rule.

Yes, assistance dogs under the German Assistenzhundeverordnung (AHundV) are welcome. Carry the dog's documentation with you at the venue, and please send a copy to our security team in advance so we know to expect you.

Pets are not permitted at the venue.

Each hotel decides this for itself. A door hanger hooks over the handle; a door sign goes on the door itself, and some hotels allow one but not the other.

Here's what our Official Partner Hotels have told us so far:

• Novotel Karlsruhe City: Door hangers only. Don't stick anything to the door itself.
• Hotel Motel One Karlsruhe: Nothing on the door or its handle, for data protection and guest safety.
• Leonardo Hotel Karlsruhe: Door signs and door hangers are both fine.
• Arthotel ANA Eden: We're still waiting to hear back.
• Hotel Kaiserhof: Door hangers only. Don't stick anything to the door itself.
• ibis Karlsruhe: Door signs and door hangers are both fine.

Staying somewhere else, or at a hotel we haven't heard from yet? Email them before you order or commission anything, and ask about hangers as well as signs. If you get there without an answer, leave the door bare.

Where door signs are allowed, use something that comes off without leaving residue, such as painter's tape or removable adhesive strips. You are liable for any damage to the door. Keep them SFW: the corridor is shared with hotel guests who aren't part of the convention. Take your sign down when you check out.

Yes, as long as the shirt is unworn and we still have your size in stock. Bring it to the registration desk during the convention and we'll swap it for you.
